This Sunday marks the beginning of Catholic School Week. The purpose of the week is to highlight and celebrate the wonderful contribution that Catholic schools make to the local communities and society in general. This year’s theme is ‘Catholic Schools - Christ’s Living Body Active in Our World’. During the coming week we invite you to join in celebrating the contribution that our local schools make to the life and the faith community here in our parish. During this Catholic School Week we celebrate the following feasts, with special prayer services in the schools.
Tuesday 31st. Feast of St. John Bosco. Wednesday 1st. Feast of St. Brigid.
Thursday 2nd. Feast of Presentation of Our Lord
Blessing of Candles to be used in the Churches during the year will take place during Mass today at 9.30a.m. in Hugginstown Church.
Friday 3rd. Feast of St. Blaise. First Friday
Visitation will take place as usual next week-end. Please let us know if you would like to receive Holy Communion in your home for the First Friday or at any other time.
Blessing of Throats will take place today during all Masses; In Hugginstown Church at 9.30a.m and In Stoneyford Church at 7.00p.m.

G.A.A. Social Initiative:
Kilmacow G.A.A. Club are hosting a public lecture titled ”Kilkenny Hurling - from the One Parish Rule to the Four in a Row”. It will be held on Sunday 5th. February at 6.00p.m. in the Community Hall in Kilmacow. OAP’s and Students are free. This is part of the G.A.A. Social Initiative to provide a social outlet for elderly men. Everyone is encouraged to bring an elderly relative or friend who might enjoy the lecture and discussion. The Liam McCarthy Cup will be on display.
